A stormy wedding at Valhalla in Lake Tahoe, California
As much as I love warm summer days and bright sun flares, I also love a good stormy wedding in Tahoe. There’s just something so magazine worthy about the dramatic storm clouds, choppy waters and moody tones. This sweet couple was lucky enough to get all of the storm vibes, without the rain disrupting their ceremony, portraits our outdoor dinner at Valhalla in Lake Tahoe, California. I don’t think they could have personally designed something more beautiful.
One of my favorite aspects of this wedding was how much they incorporated their young daughter in their wedding. She did mirror shots during the getting ready portraits, just like her mother. They also incorporated a first look with her father on Valhalla’s incredible pier. Finally, they had a first dance as a trio in front of all of their guests. She was such a sweetheart, and I love seeing parents that are so close-knit with their little ones. These memories are going to be so important to their daughter one day, and I feel blessed to have been able to capture them.
