An Elopement With a View

The Location

Sardine Lake is one of my personal favorite locations to visit and photograph. Located just an hour and a half outside Reno, this tranquil and pristine fishing lake features incredible mountainous backdrops and even a waterfall. 

With on-sight cabins, an incredible dining experience, trails for hiking and boat rentals for fishing, it really offers something for everyone.

The Elopement

Would you believe that we planned this elopement in just 30 days? It's true! When this couple got engaged they knew they wanted to tie the knot right away and they wanted to do it at the beautiful Sardine Lake. We were able to find the vendors to make it possible, including florals by Boho Bouquets and the day couldn't have been more perfect.

The couple chose to have a family member officiate their wedding to add sentimental value to the event and their only guests in attendance were their toddler and two dogs. After we completed the ceremony, we took a few family photos before finishing off with portraits around the location and dinner just down the road.
